role description
we seek a passionate domain and technical expert in the financial services industry (fsi) to join our remote, globally dispersed industry solutions team. This team provides thought leadership and practical guidance on industry-specific data challenges, including webinars, white papers, blogs, and client engagements. You will work closely with internal teams and clients’ senior executives to demonstrate how mongodb can address their industry needs, modernize legacy systems, and support data-driven transformation.
responsibilities
* align mongodb as a solution for fsi industry needs and understand client requirements for modern solutions and software modernization.
* stay updated on current innovations, trends, and needs within the fsi worldwide.
* engage with various internal functions—product, marketing, sales, partners—to drive business growth.
* support client relationships from startups to large enterprises, helping them see the value of mongodb solutions.
* travel approximately 30-50% across latam and occasionally globally.
qualifications
* over 12 years of experience in financial services across multiple areas (e.g., it operations, digital banking, risk & treasury, retail, wealth management, commercial banking, payments, credit underwriting). Exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered.
* excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts at all organizational levels.
* experience with scalable, highly available distributed systems.
* knowledge of various data technologies (rdbms, nosql, json, xml, etc.).
* proficiency in english and spanish.
preferred qualifications
* master’s degree or higher.
* experience with standards, forums, councils, or steering committees.
* experience with database products, etl tools, and financial software.
* database programming and data modeling expertise.
* mongodb certification.
* proficiency in portuguese or additional relevant languages for latam.
