To ensure the accomplishment of the quality system in all productive areas, according to customer specific requirements, launching, and audits. Manage the quality auditors reporting to this position, as well as follow-up on required trainings or skills enhancement, and also corporate and organizational objectives accomplishment. Ensure proper follow-up for all the quality requirements of the customers in the assigned projects, and the quality requirements defined as yfios.
responsibilities:
* management of the quality auditors: schedule, permissions, vacation, holidays, always ensuring that the plant’s operations and customer service are not left unprotected, along with payroll and assistance follow-up.
* develop soft and technical basic skills competencies in the quality auditors (competence model yanfeng), required for their positions.
* review, validate, create, update cp, ods, spc, ppap, grrs, dimensional reports, capabilities, pfmea, first part release, msa as needed, ensuring they are accomplished, documented, and reviewed on the shop floor according to schedule or customer requirements.
* ensure customer service and communication to prevent any customer complaints due to lack of communication or delayed responses to quality issues.
* maintain open communication with the quality superintendent and quality manager regarding escalation topics, customer complaints, status updates, projects, or others.
* develop clear and effective quality inspection methods/routes to prevent risks of ineffective inspection due to unclear criteria, methods, or tools.
* coordinate and ensure the proper and timely response to 8d reports related to formal and informal 3cpr, mqr, cs1/2, customer complaints, and internal issues, implementing effective corrective actions and lessons learned.
* responsible for containment, rework processes, non-conformance material disposition, and handling quality issues inside and outside the plant.
* follow up during the launching stages of new projects to verify that the advance quality team meets all requirements before final release.
* ensure quality auditors are trained in all criteria, inspection methods, and documentation related to assigned projects.
* follow up on the timely completion of product audits and annual revalidation according to the schedule.
* monitor the use of iqs for quality complaints and 8d scoring formats.
* follow up on the closure of corrective actions derived from customer or third-party audits.
* support quality auditors and inspectors when there are doubts regarding criteria definitions, line releases, or stoppages.
* lead the quality portion in hpts related to assigned projects, if applicable.
* ensure all quality auditors have the proper tools (computers, radios, printers, measuring tools, etc.) to perform their activities effectively.
* conduct performance evaluations of quality auditors through one-on-one and quarterly assessments to confirm performance and development objectives are met.
* follow up on required assistance for quality engineer meetings, including hpt, quality teams, customer meetings, or others.
* ensure timely assistance and support during hpt meetings and activities, providing quick and effective responses.
requirements:
* 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably as a quality engineer, senior quality engineer, sqa, or quality leader.
* desirable but not mandatory experience with measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, etc.
* proficiency in ms office tools (excel, powerpoint, access, etc.).
* color evaluation with farnsworth 100 hue – acceptable score.
* desirable knowledge of iatf 16949, vda 6.3, core tools, customer service, and csr.
* experience with 8d and analysis tools (e.g., 5 whys, ishikawa, fta).
* desirable but not mandatory knowledge of gd&t and drawing interpretation.
* willingness and ability to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants, which may require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
