Job description
we are seeking a skilled and experienced supplier quality engineer to join our team.
the ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and control, with experience in evaluating supplier performance and ensuring excellence in every aspect of our work.
key responsibilities will include:
* evaluating supplier performance to meet customer quality targets
* overseeing industrialization of electric and electronics components
* collaborating with suppliers to prevent deviations and ensure smooth processes
* reviewing supplier manufacturing processes and identifying potential issues
* participating in events such as pre-series, series, capacity checks, isir, buy-offs, and q-checks
* performing on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and follow-up/validation
* carrying out supplier qualification and requalification on time
* detecting and informing potential risks promptly
* gathering information and uploading documentation into relevant platforms
* participating in regular meetings to provide status updates to top management and project reviews
our ideal candidate will possess:
* a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field
* 5-7 years of experience in the industry with knowledge in quality, quality systems, quality assurance, and manufacturing processes (electric and electronics components)
* experience with product/process audits according to international standards (vda, iatf16949, and/or iso 9001)
* strong knowledge of advance product quality planning (apqp), production part approval process (ppap), and failure mode and effect analysis (fmea)
* good knowledge of quality processes and quality tools
* good knowledge of measurement techniques and gd&t
* certified quality auditor under iso 19011 or vda 6.3 (desirable)
* handling of kpis and reporting
* gathering of technical information, lessons learned, concepts, and customer requirements
* knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing)
* will to travel within mexico
