The shift production leader will help our integrated diagnostic solutions (ids) business unit align and streamline work to drive growth and innovation across all aspects of integrated sample management and diagnostic solutions. Key responsibilities promptly address any safety issues or incidents. Lead daily production operations. Ensure manufactured products meet established quality requirements. Maintain personnel and training plans within the business unit. Provide regular, timely, and specific feedback to associates. Create a learning environment and challenge associates to reach higher expectations. Implement bd excellence components and programs within the manufacturing unit. Ensure an open flow of communication between production associates and management. Apply company and departmental policies consistently and work with associates to resolve employee relations issues, involving hr when necessary. Actively participate and support continuous improvement activities. Collaborate with production planning to establish production schedules and monitor performance versus schedule. Track production metrics to ensure department goals are met and communicate the metrics and progress to associates and management. Train associates on safety, quality, production, costs, cleanliness, and compliance with general policies. Ensure safety and quality standards are achieved and drive production performance to meet objectives and schedules. Ensure compliance with bd quality systems, policies, procedures, best practices, and all relevant regulations. Perform other tasks as required. Qualifications bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and time‑management skills to meet deadlines and high‑level goals. Ability to influence and build good working relationships according to bd values. Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in ms office. Bi‑lingual english and spanish preferred.
