Technical architect
position summary
we are seeking a technical architect to serve as a trusted technical advisor and valued partner throughout the servicenow digital transformation journey. This role is responsible for guiding customers on technology strategy and governance, as well as leading solution design and architecture.
the technical architect provides best-practice guidance and support across technical planning and execution activities — from defining the right technology strategy and implementation plan to designing platform governance processes and operating models.
the primary responsibility of this role is to understand customer outcomes, challenges, and needs, and translate them into effective solutions on the servicenow platform. The technical architect is responsible for delivering, executing, and consulting on client-facing solutions while ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
this role also drives continuous improvement by providing actionable feedback to ensure customers receive the highest-value solution.
responsibilities:
· lead requirement gathering, scoping, and design workshops. Translate customer requirements into solutions and assist in scoping complex service engagements involving servicenow products. Design complex solutions that may span multiple servicenow modules or include integrations with multiple external systems.
· maintain expertise in at least three servicenow product domains and ensure up-to-date knowledge of the platform, products, and relevant developments.
· support both pre-sales and product sales activities, collaborating with sales and delivery teams to ensure adherence to customer objectives and delivery schedules in activities such as demonstrations, presentations, or proof of concepts for prospective clients.
· advise high-performance teams on technical solutions and prototyping new initiatives. Resolve critical path technical issues and challenges and provide leadership on servicenow engagements.
· develop a team skills inventory, monitor and review team performance, and provide individual guidance for performance improvement.
· design and communicate a technical architecture blueprint aligning with desired customer outcomes and guide the customer's servicenow development lifecycle. Take ownership in strategic discussions with clients, identify and propose solutions to high-level business problems.
· continuously strive for process and technical improvement, providing feedback on the global delivery process and fostering a culture of quality and growth within the organization.
required experience & skills:
· 8+ years of experience in professional services or customer operations
· 6+ years of experience in a software or it organization
· 5+ years of experience working in the servicenow platform for global customers
· 4+ years of experience with web technologies (javascript, ajax, angular.js, xml, html, web services, etc.)
· experience as a technical architect with commercial and enterprise-sized customers
· experience leading and mentoring technical teams
· proven experience with taking abstract business ideas and converting them into process and system needs.
· ability to manage customers' and stakeholders' expectations at an executive level and communicate the balance between scope completion, meeting deadlines, and quality of results
· able to work on a cross-functional basis with teams from different cultures and time zones
· energetic, eager to learn, collaborative, self-driven, proven team player and team builder
· strong skills in presenting in front of large audiences and facilitating meetings
