*about this role*:
as a cbre procurement director, you will assist with the overall planning and direction of the procurement function with a specific focus on third party (supplier) risk management.
this job is part of the procurement function and has two (2) main focuses:
- the ongoing management of the current supplier risk management framework for the us regions; and
- the development, customisation and deployment of cbre's supplier risk management framework for the rest of the world.
*what you'll do*
- manage the supplier risk management process, including day-to-day issue resolution and business continuity as the escalation point for more complex issues from the shared service centres and first line contacts.
- undertake robust engagement with stakeholders, as part of the global supplier risk management team.
- work as part of the global supplier risk management team to:
- provide input to evolve the supplier risk management process to ensure that it is pragmatic, efficient, enables a high level of compliance and effectively minimises cbre's exposure to supply chain risks.
- engage functions (e.g. Finance, hse, risk, compliance, digital and technology, operations) to appropriately address supplier risk in these areas
- work with external implementation partners, technology providers and third-party risk assessors to develop and maintain best of breed risk management frameworks
- develop, maintain and evolve (as required) the governance framework to ensure the right balance between timeliness and compliance including committees, playbooks, policies, procedures etc
- develop and deliver relevant communication, training and support for both cbre users and suppliers
- develop, maintain and evolve supplier risk management reports on onboarding and risk assessment progress as well as compliance, exposures, trends etc
- develop and deploy cbre's new supplier risk management framework across the rest of the world ensuring it is locally appropriate and globally consistent.
- provide regular output-based reporting on statistics, risks and opportunities for supplier risk management evolution
- design and manage change management processes as a result of any framework, governance or technology changes
*skills, knowledge & experience required*
- bachelor's degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- experience in supply chain/procurement transformation with knowledge of supplier risk management and compliance
- experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.
- expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
