effectively maintain various risk positions and manage within position limits, providing liquidity and trade ideas to clients while trading within set limits to help the trading team achieve a given revenue target.
ensure correct ticket entry and order routing, maintain communication with sales desk and assist in resolving any settlement problems, ensure ticket entry completion and provides general trading activity support, as necessary.
provide consistent pricing and market making to sales force and target clients.
monitor daily electronic trading activity and determine where certain trades should be routed for execution, review all activity for accuracy of account information.
execute firm and customers' trades in accordance with desk volcker designation and may contribute to the formulation of trading strategies.
ensure all trades are booked to front office position keeping system on the day they are executed.
reconcile daily and/or monthly reports, as assigned.
complement and provide liquidity to clients in europe, asia and the americas, as well as locals in short term paper cetes.
exploit opportunities using short term instruments, such as forwards, tiie and mbonos, and use misalignments and possible arbitrages to increase potential p&l.
this role is critical in the transformation of the rates desk not only because of the needs of providing the product, but also using the position to have a more robust trading desk locally and grow the role into the next mbono flow trader.
help the desk relate with clients and new business and set a new standard for mexico.
requirements
strong knowledge in the mexican debt market, cts/ bloomberg/ excel/ programming (visual basic- basic).
