Executive forecast is seeking an editorial business developer to join our team – this position is open to new and recent graduates. As an editorial business developer, you will work with a small group to produce industry intelligence reports on sectors around the globe, primarily in latin america and africa. Reporting directly to the ceo/chief publisher, you will receive mentorship and become responsible for conducting background research on businesses, preparing, conducting interviews with ceos, supporting a commercial partner in making sales, synthesizing information collected, and authoring our reports. New editorial business developers begin in a mentee role and graduate to manage the operations in their territories once they demonstrate proficiency. This role is entirely remote and virtual.
what you will do:
* background research : become an expert on target companies; create an interview plan; brief a commercial team member with the information they need to make an on-the-spot sale.
* executive interviews : conduct interviews with ceos and business leaders. Establish yourself as a subject matter expert on their business and industry.
* editorial production : from the interviews you conduct, produce articles and reports summarizing information gathered.
* publication management : make sure everything is in order and our team has what they need to produce our publications successfully. Optimize content for web and social distribution.
