the role requires close collaboration with operations management and maintenance/technical managers to ensure an integrated approach to asset and installation design and operation.
the level of responsibility varies depending on organizational size, scope of projects, and process complexity. In larger organizations, specialization may occur, while in smaller ones, the engineer handles a broader range of tasks.
job responsibilities:
* process design: develop, configure, and optimize production processes from inception to startup and certification. Research and develop new equipment, draft technical project objectives, determine specifications, and evaluate design alternatives.
* process management and troubleshooting: oversee production processes, support day-to-day optimization, assist in troubleshooting, perform root cause analysis, and monitor equipment performance.
* projects: participate or lead capex projects, ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion, manage installation and startup of new equipment, and provide documentation.
* continuous improvement: regularly evaluate processes for efficiency and quality, identify improvements, and develop best practices and innovative solutions.
* technical leadership: stay updated on process management advancements, act as a technical consultant, and contribute to technical standards development.
