we are currently seeking a junior functional manual tester to join our team in cdmx, ciudad de méxico (mx-cmx), mexico (mx).
responsibilities:
1. analyze and understand user stories to determine requirements and how to meet them.
2. design and execute test scenarios and test cases to validate features.
3. create test data needed for executing test cases.
4. detect and log defects found during testing.
5. track defects and troubleshoot errors.
6. perform feature testing on feature branches before merging to main.
7. conduct regression testing on release builds to ensure stability.
8. perform production checkout testing to verify successful deployment.
9. suggest continuous improvement measures for qa processes.
10. participate in scrum cadences to promote team synergy.
minimum qualifications:
* at least 2 years of qa testing experience.
* manual testing experience for at least 2 years.
* exposure to agile and scrum methodologies for at least 2 years.
* experience with issue tracking software such as jira for at least 2 years.
* good knowledge of sql, including executing select queries.
