Job description
we are seeking a highly skilled procurement specialist to support our rapidly growing business.
main responsibilities:
* to calculate material costs and bills of material (bom) within project acquisition, ensuring accurate pricing and minimization of costs.
* as a core member of the project development team, handle all purchasing processes independently, driving efficiency and effectiveness in procurement operations.
* in consultation with senior staff, prepare decision documents that inform key stakeholders on procurement strategies and recommendations.
* develop and implement targets for bom and tool investments, aligning with business objectives and ensuring optimal roi.
* analyze make-or-buy concepts and prepare rfqs for new parts and changes within projects, ensuring compliance with established procurement policies.
* design and coordinate supplier selection for new projects in collaboration with commodity purchasing, fostering strong relationships with key suppliers.
* negotiate prices with suppliers supported by commodity, achieving best-in-class pricing while maintaining vendor relationships.
* prepare and present supply demand memoranda (sdms) to finalize supplier selection within the sourcing committee, ensuring consensus and alignment.
* place orders for materials within prototyping and pilot components, tools, and changes of tools, meeting project timelines and budget requirements.
* ensure suppliers meet schedules and stay within budget, minimizing delays and cost overruns.
* administer data within the enterprise resource planning (erp) system, maintaining accurate records and optimizing procurement processes.
* identify opportunities to reduce costs within projects, implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
required skills and qualifications:
* a technical degree or degree in economics with a strong affinity for technical subjects, or equivalent education with specialized training.
* relevant experience gained during internships.
* proficiency in english language skills.
* safe handling of microsoft office and sap mm software applications.
* strong negotiation skills with a focus on target-oriented results.
* ability to work under pressure, with a pronounced solution-focused approach.
* analytical, interdepartmental, and customer-oriented thinking and acting.
* effective communication skills to build internal and external networks.
* knowledge in cost analysis and optimization techniques.
