opportunity

under the supervision of the project specialist, this position reports to the continuous improvement coordinator (cic) and is responsible for updating material changes, determining standard costs, maintaining sap & vis information updates, and keeping quality, production, and materials informed via electronic media. The role supports activities and continuous improvement projects aimed at achieving efficiency, productivity, and reducing waste and cost.

work mode: onsite.

location: juarez, nuevo león.

responsibilities

• responsible for vis activities: create plate, parts, cross reference, mold number, and assign mold number to plates; also manage defects creation and changes.


• add part numbers of materials to the inspection plans.


• create routings, rework bom, and production versions.


• audit and correct master data findings.


• maintain sap activities: routings, equivalent units, labor, and materials.


• monitor and correct r-mails and cogi in sap.


• check and update engineering changes (drawings, bom changes, standard changes).


• notify production, materials and quality about material and revision changes via electronic media and meetings.


• audit and correct bom for parts and plate numbers.


• elaborate pci or rea for bom changes (slip and glaze formulas and assembly packing).


• audit snp for sku scheduling.


• ensure alignment between raw material and finished product data in the system and physical parts.


• participate in monthly and annual fg inventories to match system and real quantities.


• support kaizen events and lean tool implementations (trainings, standard works, time studies); follow up to achieve kos savings goals.


• comply with health and safety roles and responsibilities; see responsibilities chart by position.

education: preference for a bachelor’s degree in engineering.

experience: preference for one year of related experience.

formation: ability to understand sap and vis systems, standard cost and bom structure. Bilingual (english & spanish) preferred. Lean tools knowledge.
