our optical communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.this segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
scope of position
the it network project manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of network-related projects within the organization. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
key responsibilities
* manage and lead global network projects from initiation to closure.
* develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
* coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project deliverables are met.
* constantly monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion.
* communicate project status to stakeholders and senior management clearly and concisely.
* identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
* ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
* financial report analysis, budgeting, statement analysis
* manage project financials – budget, actuals, forecasting.
* manage ordering and billing processes.
experiences/education - required
* 4-year degree in information technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
* minimum of 5 years of experience in it project management, with a focus on it network projects.
* pmp or similar project management certification is preferred.
* bilingual (english/spanish)
* excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* proficiency in project management software and tools.
* understanding of network infrastructure is a plus.
* strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* strong financial acumen
* problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
travel requirement
* potential travel of up to 30%, which may include international destinations
