we are seeking a power systems sr. Reliability & asset integrity engineer to join the reliability & asset management division (r&amd) under power systems projects & technical support department (psp&tsd).
psp&tsd provides hv electrical equipment specialized technical support to power operations. R&amd manages power systems engineering studies, equipment life cycle, reliability assessments, failure analysis, digital transformation, and maintenance strategy reviews to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient power supply.
your primary role is to provide support, consultation, guidance, and assistance to power systems operating areas and projects, including engineering analysis and ensuring adherence to reliability & asset integrity management standards.
key responsibilities
* develop a reliability, availability and maintainability (ram) model for electrical substations and the distribution network using mtbf, mttr, and other metrics.
* apply rcm principles to improve maintenance strategies and analyze equipment performance data, including historical and manufacturer information (e.g., fmeca), and use specialized software to model and simulate system behavior.
* develop, manage, update, and monitor short- and long-term asset management policy, strategy, initiatives, and work plans for power system assets, ensuring alignment with the company strategic asset management program.
* manage power systems owned substations by deploying the asset integrity management system (aims) program.
* administrate power systems signature based condition assessment program.
* develop and manage a single-point-of-failure assessment to sustain power supply in case of equipment failure.
* perform asset failure trending and analysis, identify repetitive failures, and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
* utilize sap failure reporting analysis and corrective action system (fracas) to document and track unreliability events and reliability improvement opportunities.
* supervise documentation and development of asset inventory for each class of assets, including condition, level of service, performance, risk signature, maintenance strategies, repair/replacement models, financial forecasts, and tactical work plans.
* support the development of asset replacement business cases.
minimum requirements
* bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
* minimum of 10 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power utility in power systems reliability & asset integrity management, working on high voltage electrical equipment.
* familiarity with reliability programs such as ram, rcm, rms, mtbf, and related sap or equivalent systems.
* preferred certifications: maintenance & reliability professional (cmrp), reliability engineer (cre), taproot analyst, or six sigma.
