as part of their ongoing commitment to operational excellence, they are seeking a
senior plant controller
to support their finance and operations teams. This role will report directly to the director of finance and administration and will play a key role in analyzing financial data, driving cost optimization, and supporting strategic decision-making at the plant level.
responsabilities
finance & reporting
 * analyze and interpret financial data for various stakeholders including group controlling, division controlling, and operations.
 * monitor actuals vs. budget, explain variances, and support monthly financial closings and reporting (ifrs).
 * coordinate and report on industrialization and revaluation processes to ensure cost accuracy.
cost accounting & analysis
 * manage annual and periodic cost analysis activities (including cogs).
 * provide detailed product costing analysis and support cost evaluations.
 * investigate and resolve variances at the process order and product levels.
 * collaborate on recipe templates and master data changes with operations.
performance analysis & business support
 * evaluate plant performance, support business plans and cost-saving initiatives.
 * lead and support site projects aimed at process improvement.
 * analyze monthly kpis and provide predictive insights to leadership.
 * conduct investment reviews and cost center follow-ups.
 * contribute to budget forecasts and long-term strategic planning for the site.
requirements
education & experience
 * bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a professional accountancy qualification.
 * minimum of 5 years' experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
technical skills
 * proficiency in sap fi/co and advanced excel.
 * solid understanding of costing processes and financial forecasting.
 * experience in project management is a plus.
soft skills
 * strong analytical and business acumen.
 * excellent attention to detail.
 * effective oral and written communication in english (fluency required).

 * full-time presence required on-site in guadalajara.
 * cross-functional collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders such as auditors and authorities.
