the role is accountable to drive new business development in wholesales with defined target portfolio, particularly focused on heart and belly accounts or new customers with significant growth potential for our oil business segment (wholesales - oil production chemicals).

responsibilities

* overall new business development in defined accounts / market / geography / technology.
* pipeline management supported by crm along the entire selling cycle (prospecting & hunting, discovering & decoding value, offering & negotiating, converting & closing).
* understand customers' value drivers, prepare persuasive tailor made pitch of clariant solutions and introduce new products into customers.
* create and follow-up leads & opportunities with defined customers.
* close relationship with customer technical areas.
* collect & provide inputs to regional / global innovation and marketing teams regarding market needs and trends, market potential and competitive environment.
* operate as a multi-point customer g2m, leveraging their complementary expertise in different moments of customer journey.
* understand customer value drivers and have a consulting mindset while pitching clariant solutions.
* combine technical expertise with a commercial drive to convert opportunity into sales and close opportunities.

requirements

* education in oil engineering, chemical engineering or related area.
* desirable complementary studies in sales or business.
* experience and background in new business development, combining technical know-how with business / sales acumen and drive to convert opportunities into sales .
* experience in sales and technical knowledge in oil production specialized chemicals and wholesales for this segment.
* value based selling and pricing mindset with sales hunter profile.
* sales-driven mindset with passion for achieving and exceeding targets.
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
* proficiency in crm, microsoft office and other relevant sales tools.
* proficiency in high level english.
* soft skills: sales drive & achievement motivation, customization & value creation, commercial agility, persuading & influencing.
* availability to travel between areas to develop clients and business.
