general
the manufacturing engineer focuses on maintaining, developing, and operating manufacturing systems. They are responsible for controlling production costs while maintaining product quality. They possess extensive knowledge and insights into projects. They support all aspects of manufacturing process engineering, ensuring processes align with iso 13485 regulations and comply with safety and environmental standards at the matamoros facility, in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
position details, requirements, and responsibilities
* develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
* lead new product introduction programs, manage engineering change orders, and oversee activities related to product erp/mrp setup.
* improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
* design testing methods to assure product and process quality.
* calculate production, labor, and material costs to support manufacturing decisions.
* prepare business reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
* respond to questions and requests related to manufacturing engineering.
* maintain product and company reputation by adhering to government regulations.
* coordinate maintenance and repair services to keep equipment operational.
* train and guide technicians on design and development projects.
* attend educational workshops to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
* work collaboratively in a team environment and perform additional duties as required by the company.
* engage in continuous education through seminars, workshops, and courses.
education / experience requirements:
* bachelor of science degree in engineering or a related field.
* three to five years of relevant work experience.
* experience with microsoft office, erp/mrp software, and autocad.
* bilingual in english and spanish is required.
