We partner across the Xbox ecosystem to amplify console performance at retail and drive platform adoption, in-store and online presence, and growth from first impression to final purchase. This role is the Americas Gaming Category Manager for Xbox within CSO, responsible for creating the Americas Retail Strategy for Xbox Consoles and influencing future product plans by defining the category story and delivering regionally relevant insights.
Overview

Responsibilities
- Drive consumer engagement and revenue at retail: Use consumer insights, market data, store-level analysis, and sales information to evaluate business performance and develop seasonal, launch, and sustain plans to improve partners’ business, win share, sell units, and drive revenue.
- Amplify the Xbox brand through retail partners: Plan and execute through-line full-funnel marketing to drive purchase intent, conversion, post-purchase advocacy, and consumer lifetime value for Gaming devices, content, accessories, and services.
- Own budgeting and performance: Lead budgeting processes for Consoles, including partner target tracking, quarterly forecasts, monthly business reviews, and weekly performance reporting.
- Drive regional accountability for Console metrics: Manage revenue and inventory across retail and direct channels; ensure alignment on demand planning with regional partners and the Global Category Lead.
- Develop Americas Retail Strategy for Consoles: Create a comprehensive regional strategy aligned to devices, services, content, and growth areas; define fiscal year priorities and support marketing plans and campaigns.
- Prepare partner pitch materials: Leverage WW Category Partner Pitch documentation to create regionally compelling materials for retail partners.
- Respond to market dynamics: Drive market dynamics response and correct errors (COE) as needed.
- Identify growth opportunities: Prioritize opportunities based on potential; collaborate on strategy for new and strategic sales, partner onboarding, and results tracking.
- Support market expansion: Assist in driving expansion and launching tests or trials.
- Generate insights: Leverage industry knowledge, channel insights, and customer understanding to drive strategic alignment and achieve joint objectives with partners and WW Category; capture the voice of the partner from in-store and online feedback.

ResponsibilitiesAmericas Console Performance
- Ownership of Budgeting Process: Lead the Americas budgeting process for Consoles, including partner target tracking, quarterly forecast achievements, monthly business reviews, and weekly performance reporting.

- Partner Pitch Meetings: Use WW Category Partner Pitch documentation to create regionally compelling materials for retail partners.
- Market Dynamics Response: Drive efforts to respond to market dynamics and correct errors (COE).
Driving Console Growth
- Opportunity Identification: Identify new growth opportunities and prioritize them based on potential.
- Strategic Channel Growth: Shape strategies for new and strategic sales, including partner selection, onboarding, and tracking results, best practices, and learnings for future rollouts.
- Market Expansion Support: Assist in driving market expansion and launching new tests or trials.
Console Insights
- Category and Regional Insights: Leverage industry knowledge, channel insights, and customer understanding to drive strategic alignment and achieve joint objectives with partners and WW Category.
- Voice of the Partner: Share insights from in-store and online execution, customer and partner feedback, and market/industry trends.
QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 5+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 6+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations OR equivalent experience.
- Business level fluency to read, write and speak English.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance OR related field AND 7+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations
- Experience planning and executing assortment plans, marketing strategies, and activities that drive business results.
- Be a skillful leader, able to directly deliver and deliver thru influence of others — both internally at Microsoft and externally thru retail partners.
- Be a confident leader, representing your business in front of partners and stakeholders at all levels inside and outside Microsoft.
- A successful track record in managing and transforming a consumer category, while meeting sales and profitability targets.
- Sharp analytical skills and acumen and ability to review and manage budgets, market data, and deal opportunities.
