Senior 3d and technical artist
generalist 3d artist with experience in both organic and hard surface modeling,
sculpting, and integration across various game engines. The ideal candidate will possess
a keen eye for design and a strong technical background.
key responsibilities:
● collaborate with designers and other artists to establish project requirements
and timelines.
● work with other areas to address and resolve asset-related issues.
● develop prototypes and concept models to communicate ideas and design
intent.
● create high-quality 3d models, including both organic and hard surface assets.
● sculpt detailed assets.
● refine and optimize meshes for real-time applications.
● perform retopology and optimization of meshes to ensure performance in
pre-rendered animation, real-time, or simulation environments.
● conduct performance profiling and optimization to maintain frame rates and
visual fidelity.
● uv map and texture 3d models with attention to detail.
● create materials and shaders for various projects.
● light different scenes effectively.
● animate assets as required.
● create and implement particle effects and simulations.
● render stills and animations.
● handle post-processing tasks.
● ensure the quality of every piece produced.
● mentor junior artists and provide constructive feedback on their work.
experience requirements:
● proven experience working with various file formats and migrating assets
between them, including obj, fbx, cad files, usd, and other proprietary formats.
● experience preparing, integrating, and optimizing assets for game engines,
including unity, unreal engine, and omniverse, with the capacity to adapt to new
engines as needed.
● experience with virtual reality (vr) or augmented reality (ar) projects.
● experience with rigging and skinning characters for animation.
● familiarity with real-time rendering techniques and optimization strategies.
● familiarity with cross-platform development and optimization for various devices.
technical skills:
● familiarity with game development pipelines and workflows.
● proficiency in creating efficient uv layouts and understanding texture atlasing.
● knowledge of blender, maya, 3ds max, or cinema 4d.
● experience with marvelous designer or clo3d.
● proficiency in zbrush, substance designer, substance painter, and substance
sampler.
● competence in photoshop and illustrator.
● familiarity with after effects and premiere.
● experience with unity, unreal, and the omniverse suite
