Overview:
statement:
the manager, global member compensation accounting (mca), coordinates with the mca team around the world and is responsible for ensuring that all escalations related to member payments are resolved properly and timely.
the manager, global mca, also acts as the center of excellence for member compensation payments and assist controllership teams around the world, and to liaise with corporate teams for critical functions such as the annual mark hughes bonus payments to members, the transformative processes arising from changing payment methodology and frequency as herbalife evolves in this space, and to liaise with gts and other relevant groups as needed regarding the member compensation system (mcs) projects and major processes touching the worldwide member compensation payments.
detailed responsibilities/duties:
- provide guidance as a subject matter expert resource to both the gbs-based (global business services) regional and in-country mca teams.
- coordinate and help resolve any escalations related to member payments timely and accurately, as well as ensuring any necessary adjustments are processed correctly in the member compensation system.
- function as the corporate mca liaison with other corporate teams for critical functions such as the annual mark hughes bonus payments to members.
- take the lead on the finance side, evaluating any proposed changes worldwide related to mcs.
- evaluate any changes on policies and processes related to mca worldwide.
- facilitate an environment of continuous improvement relating to member compensation accounting, constantly seeking opportunities to improve the transactional flow, the control environment, and the efficiency thereof, to develop best practices and recommend future state global processes with focus on standardization.
- provide support to other areas as it relates to mca: gbs mca teams, member services, member compensation, member records, corporate finance, corporate fp&a, gts, tax, treasury, legal, and other department heads as needed.
- handle or assist with special projects and/or implementations related to member compensation accounting and payments, as needed.
- liaise extensively with the regional gbs and in-country mca, corporate accounting, tax, a/p, and other groups to facilitate process improvements and enhanced financial analysis.
- assist in monitoring key performance indicators (kpis) with a focus on resolving issues and any process improvement opportunities
- assist director on any ad hoc requests related to member compensation.
