Product engineer – nova plant, chihuahua, mexicowe work hard for the people who work for us, championing collaboration, inclusion, respect and excellence.our culture provides a path to a better career and future.job summarythe product engineer is responsible for designing, validating and implementing product hardware, harnesses and process changes in a manufacturing environment.the role is based in chihuahua, mexico and reports directly to the engineering product manager.responsibilitiesreview and design harness plans, validating products against drawings and customer specifications.manage engineering changes, new starts and transfers, including updates to bills of materials in the ren2/qad database.prepare, review, compare and load cutting sheets, standard times and cost studies into the respective systems.create and review cost studies in sem, prepare pcns in eds, and develop dcn/bcn notices for engineering changes.ensure 100 % compliance with product engineering procedures and maintain related documentation.generate and analyze cost‐reduction ideas for the company.provide technical support, training and troubleshooting for assigned processes.collaborate with cross‐functional teams on continuous improvement and root‐cause analysis.design and implement comprehensive test strategies for new product features and enhancements.develop and execute manual and automated test cases to validate product functionality, performance, and usability.identify, document and work with the development team to resolve defects.qualificationsadvanced diploma, bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field.2–4 years of work‐related experience in ems or an equivalent industry, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.experience in electronic assembly processes (smt, through‐hole, back‐end) and bom management.familiarity with engineering change management systems (eco/ecr) and quality standards (ipc, iso).
