Job description we are seeking a therapist with experience in maternal mental health to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting women and families during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to provide meaningful care in a supportive and collaborative environment. Responsibilities provide individual and/or group therapy for clients experiencing perinatal and postpartum mood or anxiety disorders. Conduct mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress. Offer evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques tailored to maternal mental health needs. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure integrated and coordinated care. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education as needed. Required experience and qualifications master’s degree or higher in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field. Active and valid license to practice in the state of california (lmft, lcsw, lpcc, or equivalent). Proven experience providing therapy in maternal mental health, perinatal, or family-focused settings. Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and therapeutic modalities (e.g., cbt, dbt, ipt). Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Preferred skills certification or specialized training in perinatal mental health (pmh-c preferred). Experience working with diverse populations and family systems. Ability to manage a flexible caseload and provide both in-person and telehealth sessions. Familiarity with emr systems and virtual therapy platforms. Personality empathetic, compassionate, and patient-centered. Strong sense of professional ethics and emotional intelligence.
