job description:
sabio is looking for a video editor for creator tv, a new and exciting content network in the streaming tv space.
the video editor is responsible for the editing and post-production management of both original and archival video content for creator tv. The finalized content will be published to creator tv fast channels and avod streaming app.
the video editor is a strong visual storyteller who can skillfully navigate all phases of post-production including ingestion of raw files, managing assets, editing final deliverables, and publishing content to our streaming platform. The editor possesses advanced video editing skills and intermediate to advanced animation skills. The role reports to the general manager of creator tv and works closely with the content and operations teams.
this role requires an understanding of the ott video ecosystem, social media content best practices, emerging digital technologies, as well as experience in the development of content specifically targeted to the ott consumer. Direct experience with fast channel programming is a huge plus.
the video editor is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and results-driven environment and possesses excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a team of creator tv stakeholders on a regular basis.
duties & responsibilities:
* edit engaging video content for creator tv
* edit engaging sizzle reels and promos
* edit marketing deliverables including social media posts
* maintain and execute on all production calendar deliverables
* maintain technical standards of all post-production content
* create versioning edits for different platforms
* manage video assets and metadata using a content management system (cms)
* publish final deliverables to software that powers creator tv's streaming platform
* utilize industry standard digital content and editing software
* maintain a deep understanding of emerging editing methodologies, technologies and software
* maintain knowledge of video editing and storytelling techniques used on social media platforms
* help develop persuasive and eye-catching content through post-production editing, working in a fast-paced environment.
requirements:
* 3+ years of editing experience in the digital video, linear tv, or ott content space
* proficiency with adobe creative cloud platforms such as premiere pro and after effects
* strong video editing and graphic (including motion graphics) skills
* strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
* can manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
* strong communication skills
* quick learner who can function well in a fast-paced environment and receive continuous creative feedback and direction
* experience with digital content management systems and digital workflows
