this position will be responsible for daily execution against the production plan for assembled and manufactured components.
as production planner you will utilize mrp to review and create order releases, monitor and maintain action and exception messages, and manage inventory levels for internal components and assemblies.
*responsibilities*:
responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- create a production plan based on the plant master schedule
- deliver work orders on time
- drive accountability for past due status
- provide information on delivery dates to our customers
- drive sales according to the financial plan
*background & skills*:
- bachelor's degree required in industrial engineering, supply chain or related.
- 1-2 years of experience scheduling materials in manufacturing industry
- sap / mfg-pro software knowledge preferred
- bilingual english/spanish
- expert knowledge in microsoft excel
- apics cscp and/or cpim certification preferred
- experience using forecasting tools and min max analysis
- demonstrated experience with lean/six sigma principles utilizing: consignment, pull systems, kanban
- negotiation skills and experience with suppliers and customers
- strong oral and written communication skills.
