the opportunity
as an international financial controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of key operations in mexico.
you'll work closely with local and international leadership (based in the usa), playing an essential role in the architecture and implementation of robust internal controls and systems.

the must-haves
* bi-lingual spanish and english speaker
* b.s. in business, commerce, finance or accounting
* minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting
* us gaap and sarbanes-oxley knowledge
* strong background in controllership activities and internal controls
* strong technical competence in financial control – ideally including areas of taxation, purchasing, credit policy, cash flow, and investment policy, costing and expense control, audits, administration of contracts, insurance arrangements, and property administration
* experience working for a large us-based company in mexico
* valid us visa for occasional travel to the usa
* proficiency in ms excel; familiarity with erp systems
* a manufacturing background with expertise in cost accounting and inventory management
* a natural self-starter who can work collaboratively across all functions of the business
* commercial acumen with an ability to contribute to business growth
* the ability to influence and gain the respect of senior executives
* confidence, creativity and assertiveness
* the ability to work both strategically and tactically in the business.
