Job title: maintenance leader
the monterrey plant is seeking a highly skilled maintenance leader to oversee the reliability, availability, and efficiency of production equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. This critical role will provide full ownership of maintenance operations across molding, automation, and radio frequency processes.
about the role:
* this leadership position represents a key opportunity to strengthen the plant structure by relieving engineering of non-core responsibilities and transferring facility-related technical ownership from hr/facilities to maintenance.
* the ideal candidate will have 8+ years of maintenance experience in automotive, tier 1, or other regulated manufacturing environments, with a proven track record of implementing tpm methodology and preventive/predictive maintenance.
* strong leadership skills are essential for building team accountability and ensuring technical strength, reliability focus, and compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
key responsibilities:
1. lead and develop the maintenance team to ensure technical expertise and reliability focus.
2. implement tpm methodology across molding, automation, and rf processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles.
3. partner with engineering to support new equipment introductions, tooling, and process improvements, while maintaining updated documentation for equipment manuals, maintenance plans, and spare parts inventory.
4. take full ownership of facility and infrastructure maintenance, ensuring rapid response to downtime and minimizing equipment downtime through effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
5. develop and track kpis such as mttr, mtbf, equipment uptime, maintenance costs, and energy efficiency, providing insights for informed decision-making.
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, industrial, or related field).
* proven expertise in plastic injection molding, automation, and rf processes, with experience managing facilities and infrastructure systems.
* technical knowledge of iatf 16949, iso 9001, and ehs standards, with excellent communication skills in a multinational environment.
