Job description
we have an immediate need for a cost accountant analyst to join our dynamic finance team. You will support the avery dennison smartrac business. You will be responsible for booking journal entries and completing account reconciliations, as well as aligning with sox requirements by providing needed information and supervising several sox controls, while performing a business partner role to our operations and commercial teams, workig closely with all the related departments including but not limited to production/procurement/warehouse to get updated data. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, at least 5 years of cost accounting experience with manufacturing accounting in their background; strong skills in microsoft excel/google sheets; the ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and composure; strict attention to detail; and excellent verbal and written communication techniques.
Main functions:
support the new product introduction (npi) department in the analysis of new projects, ensuring the accuracy of the data for decision making.
Analyse and maintain the transfer price update in our erp.
Follow up cost-out and saving projects performance.
Calculating the deviations between the monthly actual and standard costs and following the budget throughout the year, determining the development areas and making and presenting changes in coordination with the relevant units when necessary, using tolls as ppv, ipv, scrap, material variance and others reports.
To be able to make cost and profitability analysis according to new projects,
participate actively on the month-end activites, support reconciliation and prepare journal entries for closing the books, for amortizations, cogs recognition, reserves and others.
Together with the supply chain/logistic team, ensure the correct controls are in place for cycle countcontrol and analysis of all inventory transactionsfollow the internal work regulations and the safety requirements established by the company.

Qualifications
education: bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
Experience: minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Industry experience: previous experience within the (insertar industria específica, ej: manufacturing/retail) industry.
Communication skills: strong verbal and written communication skills.
Technical tools: proficiency in oracle fusion or oracle r12.
Accounting standards: solid knowledge of us gaap.
Languages: advanced english proficiency.
