The production manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing floor, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production aligned with automotive industry standards. Key responsibilities:lead and manage production teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.ensure compliance with iatf 16949 and iso 14001 standards, supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives.develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands and optimize labor, material, and equipment usage.drive operational excellence through lean manufacturing tools such as 5s, kaizen, kanban, smed, and value stream mapping.monitor and report key performance indicators (kpis), ensuring corrective actions are taken when targets are not met.foster a culture of safety and accountability, ensuring all procedures, regulations, and company policies are followed.collaborate with maintenance, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.manage and develop the production workforce, including training, performance reviews, and succession planning.lead root cause analysis and problem-solving for quality and production-related issues.support new product introductions, process validations, and capacity planning in coordination with cross-functional teams.required qualifications:bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.minimum 5 years of experience in a production leadership role within the automotive manufacturing sector.strong knowledge and practical experience with iatf 16949 and iso 14001 standards.demonstrated success in implementing lean manufacturing principles and leading continuous improvement initiatives.strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.bilingual (english/spanish).
