your role and responsibilities
as an hr strategic business unit partner, you will work closely with line management and executive teams to drive performance and growth by developing and executing people and culture strategies. You will provide hr thought leadership, guidance and execution, while collaborating with the bu hr leader and upline leadership to develop trusting relationships and earn confidence.
your primary responsibilities will include:
* develop business insights: develop insight into the client’s business to apply hr capabilities to assess, develop and execute strategies that create business value, acting as the single face of hr to upline leadership.
* drive employee engagement: improve employee engagement and create an inclusive culture, using data and analytics to develop useful insights about the workforce you support.
* provide strategic guidance: provide strategic and operational guidance and direction to others in this role and to functional areas, driving favourable outcomes by applying a variety of leadership styles.
* address business opportunities: proactively address opportunities and issues related to organisation design and development, leadership assessment, development, planning and coaching, and other key business areas.
* lead cross‑functional teams: serve as a team member or lead on cross‑functional hr teams at the business unit, site, country, region or geography level, driving business growth and effectiveness.

required technical and professional expertise
* deep expertise in hr strategy development: proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive hr strategies that drive business performance and growth, with a strong understanding of organisational design, leadership development and talent management.
* advanced knowledge of data analysis: experience with data analysis and interpretation to inform business decisions, drive employee engagement and create inclusive cultures, with the ability to develop actionable insights and recommendations.
* strategic leadership guidance: deep expertise in providing strategic guidance and direction to senior leaders, with the ability to influence, guide and direct leaders to achieve favourable outcomes.
* cross‑functional team leadership: experience leading cross‑functional hr teams across multiple levels, including business unit, site, country, region or geography, with a focus on driving business growth and effectiveness.
* business acumen and insight: proven ability to develop deep insights into business operations, with a strong understanding of the intersection of business and hr strategy, and the ability to apply hr capabilities to drive business value.

* strategic problem‑solving skills: ability to think strategically about leadership and talent as accelerators for growth, with a focus on innovative, creative and bold problem‑solving.
