your role
as ehs manager on our team, you will: is responsible of leading the plant to operate and provide products and services with the quality and time expected; in an efficient and cost effective manner while meeting company business targets.
in your daily job you will:
* stablish and ensure the plant operates in optimal conditions and safety culture.
* stablish and maintain company processes to ensure maximum capacity and resource utilization.
* develop strategies to achieve qvc targets.
* provide solid, consistent leadership, accountability and mentoring to all employees.
* lead the plant’s efforts to develop personnel.
* responsible for p&l of the business unit.
* lead use of tools to improve business conditions such as: icim, shainin, lean, problem solving, etc.
* lead initiatives to reduce cost and increase productivity and delivery.
your background
key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
* bachelors in engineering or other required.
* master degree is highly desired.
* bilingual (english/spanish).
* strong use of continuous improvement and problem solving tools: icim/ shainin / other.
* finance knowledge: p&l, forecasting, budgets.
* coaching and management skills.
* flexibility to change: move to other location/ area.
* computer systems such as: microsoft office, minitab, sap are a must.
* experience in manufacturing of automotive harnesses (must)
