Specific responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:- working with international freight forwarders, couriers, trucking carriers, logistics companies, customs brokers, customers, vendors, internal offices, etc.
to coordinate transportation.- import/export operations in maritime and air modalities.- freight quoting, cost analysis, rate comparison, routing and carrier selection.- preparation of quotes and support for internal clients on transportation matters and specific inquiries.- knowledge about pedimentos and cartaporte.- daily follow-up on shipments, from supplier release, through transportation, customs broker, to final delivery.- ensuring transportation movement and billing are per contractual incoterms.- shipping documentation including bol's, waybills, commercial invoices, sli's, packing declarations, packing lists, etc.- ensuring packaging standards are met for designated modes of transport- providing logistics assistance to suppliers and customers.- logging and tracking of shipments and providing updates as requested.- freight pre-invoice auditing and coding.- ensuring delivery deadlines and revenue plans are achieved.- professionally communicate with internal and external customers and vendors.- other continuous improvement initiatives, special projects, or general office duties as assigned.
*qualifications*:- must have at least 3 years of experience with logging and tracking of shipments and providing updates as requested.- must have at least 3 years of experience with, freight invoice auditing and coding.- must have at least 2 years of professional experience working with international freight forwarders, courier, truckload carriers, logistics companies, customs brokers, customers, vendors, internal offices, etc.
to coordinate transportation.- must have experience in inbound freight into mexico and us from any other country in the world.- individual should possess a sense of urgency, be proactive, customer-driven, and motivated.- ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, good time management skills.- organization skills and ability to prioritize work based on appropriate requirements.- good with data, spreadsheets and data analysis.- must have strong problem-solving skills and proactive customer service mindset, capable of addressing challenges efficiently while ensuring a positive client experience.
