responsibilities
collaborate closely with people leaders and associates to ensure the implementation of hr and leadership practices, processes, and programs that support organizational effectiveness and associate development.
Partner with the plant leadership team to ensure the effective execution of primary annual bd hr processes, such as talent and succession planning, performance management, development, and compensation.
Identify organizational needs in collaboration with the leadership team and lead the implementation and effective training on-site.
Analyze indicator data to anticipate and address areas of opportunity.
Implement strategies for associate engagement, positive relationships, diversity awareness, and a healthy workplace environment.
Manage key hr areas: talent acquisition, labor relations, training, talent development, communication, hr services, compensation, and benefits.
Promote a healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with occupational health and wellness standards.
Manage change according to business needs and adjustments to established models.
Partner with the plant manager to lead constructive and reflective calibration sessions on associates\' performance and potential.
Collaborate on the introduction and/or integration of hr processes, practices, programs, and initiatives that contribute to individual and company success.
Define opportunity areas with the people leader and establish action plans to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
Participate in collective union negotiations and facilitate communication between management and union representatives.
Partner with specialized teams to ensure programs are competitive, equitable, and market-efficient.
Collaborate with internal and external legal teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws, bd's code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.
Develop and ensure compliance with the approved hr operational budget
qualifications
5-10 years of experience in hr management role in a union environment.
Knowledge of related federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Extensive knowledge of labor relations practices and legal requirements.
Proficient computer skills including but not limited to microsoft office, email, and database programs.
Excellent communication and influencing skills across multiple levels, functions, and cultures.
Interpersonal and cross-cultural knowledge.
Bilingual english & spanish.
