Job summary:
we are seeking a highly qualified substation electromechanical engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and validation of electromechanical systems for high-voltage substations in compliance with u.s. engineering standards. This position requires an advanced level of english and the ability to review and sign engineering documents as a licensed professional in the united states.

key responsibilities:
perform detailed design and engineering of substation electromechanical systems, including layout, grounding, protection, and control systems.
review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documents in accordance with pe certification authority.
ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications (ieee, ansi, nesc, nec, etc.).
collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, electrical, and controls) to deliver integrated substation solutions.
conduct site visits, field assessments, and technical evaluations as required.
provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and operation phases.
manage project documentation and maintain engineering records in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement in engineering practices.
requirements:
qualifications:
bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, electromechanical, or power engineering.
active professional engineer (pe) license in at least one u.s. state (multi-state registration is a plus).
minimum of 5 years of experience in substation engineering, including design and project execution.
strong understanding of protection and control schemes, grounding, and equipment selection (breakers, transformers, disconnects, relays, etc.).
proficiency in autocad, microstation, and relevant electrical design tools.
advanced english level (written and spoken) required.
excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
preferred qualifications:
experience with utility or epc substation projects in the u.s.
knowledge of nerc, ferc, and regional utility standards.
familiarity with modeling or analysis software (etap, skm, or similar).
