The eut desktop engineer will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and maintenance for end-user computing environments. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing desktop and mobile devices, and ensuring optimal performance and security of the end-user computing infrastructure.
*key responsibilities*:
- provide level 3 desktop support to end-users, resolving complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- manage and deploy desktop images, configurations, and device lifecycle processes.
- administer and support microsoft windows operating systems, including windows 10/11.
- utilize tools such as microsoft intune for device management and deployment.
- troubleshoot and support mobile devices running ios and android.
- manage active directory, azure ad, and microsoft 365 environments.
- implement and maintain endpoint security measures to protect against threats.
- collaborate with network, security, and server teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
- document solutions, best practices, and known issues, sharing insights with the it team.
- participate in major incident management, problem and change management, and service improvement initiatives.
- provide support for related project services, including onboarding and technical change requests.
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in end-user computing.
*qualifications*:
- bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or 5-8 years of related experience.
- extensive experience in desktop support and end-user computing environments.
- strong troubleshooting skills and proficiency in microsoft windows operating systems.
- experience with sccm, intune, and other device management tools.
- knowledge of active directory, azure ad, and microsoft 365.
- familiarity with itil framework and best practices.
- excellent customer service and communication skills.
- ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- relevant certifications such as microsoft certified solutions associate (mcsa) or microsoft 365 certified: modern desktop administrator associate are a plus.
