The project coordinator i plays a vital role in project management, supporting the project manager to ensure the success of material handling projects involving various technologies such as robotics, as/rs, agvs, and others.
the role covers the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closeout, typically lasting 8 to 24 months. The coordinator's work begins at the internal project kickoff and continues until final punch list completion, acceptance testing, billing milestones, and reconciliation. The project team includes engineers, controls specialists, a software project manager, and project management staff. Success is measured through customer satisfaction and management of scope, cost, and schedule.
responsibilities
* develop industry knowledge and skills through training.
* work effectively under guidance.
* manage 2-4 projects concurrently.
* create and maintain project management checkbooks based on job cost sheets.
* negotiate vendor quotes and finalize pricing, including freight.
* complete purchase requisitions in microsoft d365.
* facilitate creation of purchase agreements or statements of work.
* confirm delivery dates throughout procurement.
* consolidate project bills of materials for inventory management.
* manage project cash flow and financial checkbooks.
* coordinate milestone payments and analyze financial reports.
* assist in project forecasting and cost estimation.
* solicit quotes and draft change orders.
* lead project meetings and document minutes and action items.
* prepare progress and weekly status reports.
* utilize microsoft project for project tasks.
* support onsite resource scheduling.
* manage expense reports timely.
* maintain project file structures in one drive.
* participate in onsite startup and closeout activities.
* visit job sites periodically for vendor management.
requirements
* bachelor’s degree preferred.
* experience in project management and operational excellence.
* knowledge of financial concepts like roi, npv, cost to complete.
* proficiency in ms office, especially excel and project.
* autocad experience preferred.
* background in material handling, robotics, manufacturing, or packaging preferred.
* energetic, ambitious, and diligent.
* strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* customer service-oriented.
* proactive in problem-solving and risk management.
