Asset Manager Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support our accounting and controllership operations in a complex financial services environment.
The adecuado candidate has 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience, combining public accounting and enterprise controllership backgrounds, strong technical accounting acumen, and demonstrated expertise in Workday Financials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Closing Process Lead: Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process including journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, and financial reporting.
- Loan Accounting Oversight: Ensure accurate and timely recognition of servicing revenue, interest income, deferred fees, and amortization related to loan portfolios.
- Financial Statement Support: Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements under U.S. GAAP, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external audit requirements.
- Process Improvement: Drive process improvement and automation leveraging Workday Financials and AI-enabled tools for reconciliation, reporting, and exception management.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with our teams and client stakeholders to support controllership, financial operations, and regulatory reporting.
- Jr. Accountant Supervision: Supervise and develop junior accountants, providing coaching and quality review of deliverables.
- Operating Model Design: Participate in the design and execution of transition and steady-state operating models for our outsourced finance function.
- Workflow Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to standardize and streamline accounting workflows within Workday and other systems.
