Role overviewas a supplier quality engineer in our automotive tier 1 operations, you will be the critical link between our manufacturing plants and our global supply base. You will ensure that all components meet the highest technical standards through rigorous auditing, performance monitoring, and collaborative problem-solving.core responsibilitiessupplier management & auditing: conduct on-site and remote audits of first and sub-tier suppliers based on iatf 16949 and cqi-19 standards to ensure process stability and compliance.new product launch (apqp/ppap): manage and supervise suppliers through the development phase, ensuring timely and accurate submission of ppap documentation and adherence to apqp milestones.non-conformance resolution: lead the root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions using 8d methodology to address quality excursions and prevent recurrence.technical guidance: provide technical expertise to suppliers regarding complex manufacturing processes, including injection molding, assembly, welding, and electronics.performance monitoring: maintain supplier scorecards, track kpis (ppm, delivery quality), and lead escalation meetings for underperforming vendors.global coordination: facilitate technical meetings and reports across time zones, maintaining fluid communication with teams and suppliers in china, taiwan, mexico, and the usa.requirementsmust-havelanguage proficiency: advanced english level; must be capable of leading technical meetings, writing detailed 8d reports, and conducting audits in english.availability: willingness to work flexible hours across time zones (china mexico/usa) and work overtime when critical production or quality issues arise.industry experience: minimum of 3+ years of direct experience as an sqe within an automotive tier 1 environment.core tools knowledge: strong command of aiag core tools (apqp, ppap, fmea, spc, msa); certification is highly preferred.technical skillsquality standards: in-depth knowledge of iatf 16949 and cqi-19 (sub-tier supplier management).cqi audit expertise: familiarity with various cqi assessments (cqi-9, 12, 15, 19, 23).
