job summary
lead, facilitate, and coordinate production activities and resource management according to established practices and policies within your job area to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations. Promote continuous improvement processes and a safety culture.
job responsibilities
* implement, promote, and maintain a safe work environment by fostering a culture of accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety rules. Identify, control, and manage risks within your area.
* prepare daily production status reports.
* coordinate and utilize resources effectively to resolve manufacturing issues, improve processes, and meet customer demands.
* provide and implement training to enhance personnel performance.
* manage employee-related activities: attendance, punctuality, overtime, vacations, and permissions.
* act as a business partner by planning, leading, and assessing continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process enhancements using eaton business systems (ebs) tools like els (eaton lean system) and 5s.
* maintain accurate inventory records, seek ways to reduce work-in-progress (wip) inventory, and maximize product flow while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
* participate in setting, communicating, and achieving departmental goals; develop and monitor performance metrics to identify and implement process improvements.
* supervise the identification of non-conforming materials during shifts.
* coordinate with human resources on employee selection, promotion, counseling, and termination following eaton policies.
* monitor machinery, equipment, and facilities; initiate maintenance work orders to ensure safety and efficiency.
* support eaton’s vision by upholding its ethics, values, and quality policies.
* motivate and coach employees to maintain high satisfaction, productivity, and quality, utilizing rewards and recognition programs to foster engagement.
qualifications
education
* engineering degree or related fields required.
experience
* 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred.
skills
technical knowledge
* iso 9000-2000, iso 14001, management systems, participation in and demonstration of positive attitudes towards cop’s, rie, value stream mapping, and other continuous improvement activities; health and safety programs.
