*job description*:
- provide leadership to the organization for the development and implementation of policies, systems, processes, and procedures that ensure the ability to deliver 100% defect free product to our customers. Represent the company in front of the bu, customers, suppliers, and other parties of quality organizations, in qa related matters.
Essential functions:
- acting as the company's representative in dealing customer quality issues.
- business adherence to federal, state, and corporate policies and procedures regarding product quality matters
- obtaining and maintaining any quality accreditations required to meet customer, bu or corporate requirements.
- providing the highest level of technical expertise, consultation, and direction to quality systems, quality engineering and process engineering and manufacturing staff personnel
- assess and prepare the manufacturing quality assurance departmental budget. Defect prevention, including the systems for measurement and reporting of results.
- leads and coordinates new product implementation (apqp)
- project management and leadership for implementation of new and strategic growth, cost savings, sustaining and/or continuous improvement projects.
*qualifications*:
- experience in the automotive industry is a must.
- *6yrs + *quality, manufacturing or related
- *3 yrs + *quality leadership role with responsibility for developing and implementing quality systems and interfacing with customers.
- expertise in successfully implementing quality systems for medium sized, heavy industrial facilities (300 - 500 employees)
- college graduated ba / bs
- master’s degree administration/engineering (ideal )
- broad knowledge of manufacturing operations and automotive/ commercial vehicles requirements sound administrative skills. Well-developed management skills—principles and people.
