Honeywell international, inc. is seeking a data engineer for our san luis potosi location to serve as part of a team that delivers contemporary data engineering solution solutions for the global integrated supply chain function at honeywell.
as a isc analytics specialist ii, you will build strong relationships with leadership to effectively deliver contemporary data analytics solutions and contribute directly to business success.
develop solutions on various data storage systems viz.
snowflake, adls gen 2, etc.
identify and implement process improvements.
*key responsibilities include*:
- work with product owner to identify the data requirements and design data pipeline using snowflake (for data warehouse) and data bricks (for advance analytics data pipeline)
- develop data pipelines for isc projects using the leveraging standards, guidelines and data governance rules
- design and develop data models for machine data originated from the manufacturing plants
- support the development of the real time data pipeline for manufacturing iot
- provides solutions for operations issues and participate in problem solving.
- partners with it support team on production processes, continuous improvement, and production deployments
experiences and characteristics we are looking for include:
- strong business and customer focus;
- self-starter with the drive to unlock the true power of big, noisy, messy, real-world data;
- demonstrated experience working with multi-terabyte-sized data sets;
*you must have*:
- bachelor's degree in computer science, decision science, engineering, applied mathematics or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in building data engineering pipelines or etls, data pipeline, data warehouse, data analytics, sql ,
- 3+ years of experience in sql
- strong understanding of sql, relational databases, columnar data warehouses, and data modeling
- ability to work with product owner and convert functional requirement in technical design without much supervision
- experience in working on azure cloud services
- experience in building data engineering pipeline for performance and, scalability
- understanding of big data echo system
