Operations assistant – etg commodities

department: operations

reports to: operations team lead

location: queretaro, mx

job overview: we are currently seeking an adaptable and agile operations assistant for our agri‑business in mexico. In this role, you will support business operations while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction. The role is relationship‑oriented with deadlines and a high level of accountability.

* supply chain coordination: manage movement of goods, materials, and products across the supply chain, ensuring timely delivery and efficient operations.
* transportation management: arrange and coordinate transportation activities, negotiate freight rates, schedule shipments, and track deliveries.
* inventory control: monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and optimize replenishment processes to meet demand while minimizing carrying costs.
* documentation and recordkeeping: prepare and maintain accurate shipping documents, customs forms, and audit records.
* customs and compliance: ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade requirements, prepare related documentation, and stay updated on regulatory changes.
* vendor management: collaborate with suppliers and vendors, monitor performance, negotiate contracts, and resolve disputes.
* risk management: identify potential supply‑chain risks, develop contingency plans, and proactively mitigate disruptions.
* data analysis and reporting: collect and analyze logistics data, generate reports, and provide kpi insights to management.
* continuous improvement: identify process improvements in transportation, warehouse layouts, or inventory management, implement changes, and monitor effectiveness.
* customer service: work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve inquiries and meet customer expectations regarding delivery and order accuracy.

position requirements:

* fluency in english (verbal and written)
* bachelor’s degree in supply chain, international business, logistics, or related field.
* 2–3 years of experience in export documentation and logistics.

operations manager – sort center, worldwide operations (amazon)

responsible for safety, budgeting, people development, and operational objectives within a large amazon sort center. Leads a team of operations and area managers, drives performance, and implements quality and lean initiatives.

* own operational budget for the entire sc, covering safety, productivity, financial planning, labor, and operational goals.
