In this role, your responsibilities will be:
1. coordinate ehs activities and develop site-specific programs targeting safety culture change through implementation of standard methodologies.
2. ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal and external ehs requirements, keeping current with impending legislation and advising team members on potential impacts.
3. support the collection and reporting of ehs metrics; prepare management reports on trends and improvement actions.
4. establish standards and procedures for incident management and pollution prevention and control.
5. hold ehs reviews with site leaders to address problems, risks, and concerns affecting overall ehs conditions.
6. respond to and coordinate emergency plans and programs through drills, maps, and other means.
7. support and report to the ehs superintendent.
8. manage radiologic safety responsibilities.
9. define, conduct, coordinate, or oversee ehs training programs.
10. represent the company during ehs audits by government agencies.
11. review and maintain compliance in the generation, storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous, and special waste.
12. provide safety and environmental expertise for new or modified processes to ensure environmental impacts are considered and risks are controlled.
13. compile, analyze, and maintain records, statistics, and documents related to hse.
14. coordinate and oversee accident/incident reporting with comprehensive documentation including photos, videos, and narratives.
15. promote improvements in safety habits and employee performance, and follow-up on ehs-related issues.
16. coordinate internal and external ehs audits.
17. stay aligned with safety policies, report risks immediately, and participate actively in safety improvement actions.
18. manage resources allocated to the department.
19. participate in actions to maintain the quality system.
20. assist with other work-related tasks as assigned.

* validated experience in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental subjects, or equivalent.
* a proven record emphasizing compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
* understanding of international, national, state, local, and emerson ehs requirements.
