we are looking for a general manager for our plant in irapuato / mexico.
*your responsibilities will be*:
- p&l responsibility for the mexican plant (640 employees)
- establish budgets following directives received from the group
- direct report to the german headquarters / coo of the group
- plan, organize, direct and execute optimal daily operations to exceed customer expectations: production control and planning, purchasing, logistics, internal assembly and customization
- oversee key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis
- increase production, capacity and flexibility of assets, minimize unnecessary costs and maintain current quality standards
- responsible for project management, production results, product quality and on-time delivery
- implement strategies in accordance with strategic initiatives and provide clear direction and focus
- monitor operations and initiate corrective actions with a strong focus on plant safety procedures
- develop systems and processes that monitor and optimize productivity and standards
- monitoring and enforcement of compliance with occupational safety, accident prevention and environmental protection regulations on site
- represent the company in front of local institutions & authorities
- empower employees to take responsibility and ownership of the business regardless of level of position
- demonstrate leadership to employees by fostering an environment of continuous improvement, personal performance and trusting relationships
*required skills and experience*:
- several years of experience in the field of automotive environment
- degree in mechatronics, electronics, finance & business administration or comparable education
- structured and independent work approach
- high attitude towards quality and accurateness
- reliability and flexibility
- ability to work in an international environment
- excellent coordination, communication, coaching and mentoring skills
- english and spanish proficiency is mandatory
- german language skills will be an advantage
- high level of self-organization and analytical working methods
- willingness to travel
