Project engineer – pepsico

responsibilities
* deliver engineering execution for productivity strategy, supply chain transformation (sct), safety and quality for the salty new celaya facilities.
* provide leadership and technical execution on investment for sct projects across the bu for salty, ensuring benefits according to capex, budget, time, security and quality.
* responsible for automation of secondary packaging, including case erector guacps, conveyors to palletizing, carton sorting systems, display & multipacks systems, tiras, new pdqs & flow packs.
* coordinate with projects in the digitalization area (dvc) on initiatives such as mes, mistake proof, etc.
* manage planning, development and execution of capital programs‑projects supporting business units.
* develop strategies and execute projects to provide the company with infrastructure and technology to produce high‑value products under sct.
* design processes for projects (palletizing, warehousing & automation).
* select, install and launch equipment, ensuring flawless startup.
* lead multifunctional organization and leadership, updating status to the organization.
* analyze critical routes to avoid delays.
* support new arrangement patterns in boxes & displays innovations.
* validate technical feasibility for new promotions insertion in pmf.
* support or follow global equipment development initiatives.
* plan to contribute to productivity goals.
* advise on manufacturing footprint strategy, line movements per master plan and footprint productivity.
* implement automation technologies for palletizing & warehousing for salty & foods (e.g., pc, tc, cheetos, pellet).
* execute financial targets, e.g., cash flow of assigned projects on time and schedule revolving production for sales requirements.
* provide ongoing feedback and coaching on progress against accountabilities to peers and lower levels.
qualifications
* education: mechanical, mechatronic or industrial engineering.
* more than 3 years of experience in food processing and project management.
* knowledge of capital project management.
* knowledge of good manufacturing practices related to food plant design, equipment fabrication, food safety requirements, construction details and project execution.
* engineering finance: ability to analyze financial information (cash flow, net sales, operating profits, cost of goods, depreciation, capital costs, taxes).
* project plan management: ability to plan, manage and execute projects against cost, schedule, performance and safety targets.
* safety/quality/regulations: knowledge of safety policies, procedures, external regulations, and federal, state and local regulations.
* supplier/vendor/contractor management: ability to manage relationships with suppliers, vendors and contractors to achieve pepsico goals.
* time management: ability to manage time, organize activities to maximize productivity.
* computer skills: ability to use computer and web‑based systems, applications such as autocad, office.
* planning: ability to set short‑term plans based on long‑term strategies.
* decision making: ability to know when a decision needs to be made and act with readiness.
maintenance & project engineer – sensient technologies
