*job summary*
we are seeking a skilled *plmc supervisor* to oversee the daily operations of the production logistics and material control team.
this role is responsible for coordinating material flow, supporting production schedules, and ensuring accurate communication between warehouse, production, and planning departments.
*key responsibilities*
- supervise and support plmc operators to ensure consistent performance and task execution.
- provide leadership and decision-making support during material shortages, delays, or system discrepancies.
- monitor production data and adjust material flow and workforce allocation as needed.
- approve and manage daily work plans in alignment with pmc (production material control) releases.
- ensure all material transfers and part borrowings are properly documented and compliant with procedures.
- verify material numbers and quantities against sap records to maintain accuracy.
- oversee correct and timely material deliveries to assigned departments and buildings.
- coordinate and lead mid-year and year-end physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
- generate and review daily reports on material availability and shortages, escalating issues to production and warehouse management.
- act as the main liaison between warehouse, production floor, and planning teams to resolve logístical bottlenecks.
- train, mentor, and evaluate plmc team members, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

- strong verbal and written communication skills.
- proficiency in *sap* and *microsoft office* (especially excel).
- strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- proven leadership skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- high attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- reliable, consistent attendance, and commitment to operational excellence.
*preferred qualifications*
- experience with sap or other erp systems.
- background in manufacturing, logistics, or accounting-related fields.
*education and experience*
- high school diploma or ged required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- minimum *2-3 years of experience* in material control, logistics, or production planning.
- supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
*physical requirements*
- frequent walking in a production environment.
- ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- comfortable working in high-noise areas (ppe provided).
