about the role
the quality supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day quality control and assurance activities to ensure all products consistently meet nysonian standards and customer requirements. This role oversees quality inspectors, enforces procedural compliance on the production floor, and supports structured problem-solving to address defects and process deviations. The quality supervisor plays a key role in driving operational discipline and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes to safeguard product integrity and customer satisfaction.
what you will do
* lead and develop quality inspectors across shifts, ensuring strong technical capability, procedural adherence, and adequate inspection coverage.
* oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure full compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
* enforce structured quality controls, including sampling plans, testing procedures, traceability, and accurate inspection documentation.
* lead investigations into non-conformities, customer complaints, and process deviations; drive effective corrective and preventive actions (capa).
* manage rework, scrap, and product disposition processes while tracking defect trends and supporting root cause elimination initiatives.
* ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, safety policies, and audit expectations; maintain calibrated inspection tools and updated sops.
* drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging lean, 5s, kaizen, or six sigma methodologies to enhance product reliability and reduce defects.
* monitor and report quality kpis (defect rates, fpy, scrap, audit findings), providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
who you are
* bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, quality engineering, manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
* 2–5 years of experience in quality supervision or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
* strong knowledge of inspection methods, measurement systems, and quality standards (iso experience preferred).
* demonstrated leadership capability with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
* proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, including use of structured root cause methodologies (e.g., 5 why, ishikawa).
* solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and product specifications.
* ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities.
* proficiency in microsoft office; experience with erp, mes, or digital quality systems, and hands-on knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, gauges, testing equipment).
