.department overview:overview:key areas of focus include strategies, practices and tools for availability, performance and digital experience monitoring such as:- application performance monitoring (apm)- infrastructure monitoring (itim)- network monitoring (npmd)- log monitoring- cicd pipeline monitoring and event optimization- change management- executive reporting*responsibilities*:- oversee and ensure all monitoring tools are installed and configured with correct thresholds and dashboards.- enhance the current level of monitoring and operational procedures as well defined, runbooks are developed for self-healing.- enhance monitoring capabilities, focusing on exception-based predictive analytics and early warning triggers to prevent downtime and reduce business impact.- promote a shift left culture aimed at identifying opportunities to implement self-service solutions that give the supporting help desk and monitoring teams more control and reduce dependencies on technology resources.- establish key performance metrics and report in support of high availability reporting- be go-to resource for supporting functions in deploying and maintaining events in support of oportun event management policy and monitoring standards.- ensure continual imporvements in supporting better meantime to detect, meantime to resolve, and qualitative improvements round production support and infrastructure monitoring.- establish service level objectives associated with critical business service monitoring, maintenance, and adoption.qualifications:- demonstrated ability to multi-task and efficiently work several projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.- must be able to work in a fast pace & stressful environment.- bs/ba degree in computer science, mis, or related field/equivalent experience- 5+ years working in a similar function or role- comptia security+ or related certification- industry leading monitoring and/or ai-ops certifictions (new relic, bigpanda, sumologic, splunk, etc.
