Product certification coordinator
your areas of responsibility
* evaluate the product portfolio for compliance with approval-related guidelines and standards, including research into fcc (usa), ised (canada), anatel (brazil), ift (mexico) and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
* manage national and international product approvals with a focus on radio frequency (rf) compliance and electrical safety in accordance with applicable standards (e.g., fcc, ul, csa, nom, inmetro).
* elaborating the requirements from the relevant standards and translating them into internal and external requirements for stakeholder is part of your remit
* act as a key contact for development teams regarding approval and certification requirements.
* coordinate approval projects and actively contribute to the product development process, ensuring early integration of compliance requirements.
* responsible for type and unit testing in close cooperation with internal departments and external certification bodies (e.g., ul, tüv, csa), and respond to customer inquiries regarding product approvals.
* create and maintain a compliance matrix summarizing all relevant product approval requirements.
* train and inform internal departments such as purchasing, development, product management, and sales on compliance topics.
what you bring with you
* technical education with relevant further training or a technical degree, ideally with experience in product approvals for the americas (e.g., fcc, ul, csa).
* several years of professional experience in a comparable position with a focus on regulatory compliance and certification.
* in-depth knowledge of regional regulations and standards (e.g., fcc, ul standards like ul 2238 and ul1863).
* experience with industrial automation products and applications is a plus; certification as a product compliance officer is desirable.
* strong project management skills, excellent english skills, and good sap knowledge.
