Responsibilities
* deliver timely and accurate financial information – actuals, forecasts, business plans.
* act as a business partner with the operations departments and other entities & regions to ensure alignment on financial goals, strategies, and deadlines.
* accounting acumen – accrual & reclassifications posting and management; account/cost center-level reviews; p&l/balance sheet knowledge.
* financial acumen – bridges, variation, trends, and analysis generation & presentation; active participation in budget and forecast processes.
* ensure that the company doa is being followed – purchase requisition approvals.
* intercompany processes knowledge.
* capex processes knowledge.
* enforce internal control and best practices – help as a point of reference for other parties on the best courses of action.
* process improvement – analyze the current processes in place and identify how as a team we can improve and become more efficient.

qualifications
education/certifications
* must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
* desired master’s degree in finance or accounting.
languages
* advanced english proficiency.
previous work experience
* at least 5 years of relevant financial experience.
computer skills
* proficiency in sap.
* advanced skills in microsoft office (excel, powerpoint, word, etc.).
other knowledge, skills, and abilities
* strong knowledge of sap (accruals, reports).
* automation-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency.
* ability to challenge the status quo.
* strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
* self-driven and autonomous; able to work independently, including remotely.
* in-depth understanding of financial accounting processes and financial statements.
nice to have
* experience with tableau for data visualization and reporting.
* familiarity with rpa (robotic process automation) and big data management.
