about the role

swiss madison is seeking a highly strategic and results-oriented ecommerce category manager to lead our largest and most critical product category: toilets. As the category manager, you will be the "ceo" of this product vertical, responsible for the end-to-end health, growth, and profitability of the category across major north american marketplaces including the home depot, amazon, and wayfair.

this is not a junior role. We are looking for an autonomous leader who can identify high-level opportunities and systemic issues. You will have a team of listing auditors at your disposal to execute changes; your role is to provide the vision, strategy, and oversight to ensure the category excels in a competitive landscape.


key responsibilities


strategic category management

* revenue & growth: develop and execute annual and quarterly growth plans to increase market share and hitting aggressive revenue targets.
* profitability & imu: monitor category p&l, managing initial mark-up (imu) and net margins. Identify cost‑saving opportunities or pricing adjustments to maintain healthy profitability.
* competitive analysis: stay ahead of market trends, competitor pricing, and new product launches within the bathroom fixture and toilet space.


marketplace excellence (home depot, amazon, wayfair)

* account health: maintain a "best‑in‑class" presence on our primary channels. Ensure the swiss madison brand is represented with excellence.
* strategic oversight: identify "big picture" listing issues (conversion drops, seo gaps, pricing errors) and task the listing auditors with execution.
* relationship management: act as the primary strategic voice for the category when communicating with marketplace account managers and internal stakeholders.
* audit management: direct the workflow for listing auditors. Verify that audits are leading to tangible improvements in listing quality, compliance, and conversion.
* inventory & forecasting: collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure stock levels align with promotional calendars and seasonal demand.


data-driven decision making

* identify kpis for category health and report on performance weekly.
* use data to justify new product development or the phasing out of underperforming skus.


what you bring

* 5+ years of experience in ecommerce category management or account management
* deep marketplace expertise with mandatory experience in at least 2 of the following: the home depot (idm/commercehub), amazon (vendor or seller central), and wayfair (partner home)
* bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
* highly analytical with strong proficiency in excel/google sheets and data visualization tools, plus the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategy
* native or professional‑level english proficiency (written and spoken)
* comfortable as a self‑starter who thrives in a remote, fast‑paced environment
* strong leadership skills with the ability to manage up and delegate down


what we offer

* competitive base salary: $3,000 - $6,000 usd per month, commensurate with experience.
